We're planning a great service opportunity this summer! Love Packages is a ministry that places Christian literature and Bibles into the hands of missionaries around the world. Their facility is located in Butler, IL (about 1.5 hours away) and we're planning a trip there on Friday June 27 to donate collected literature from GCC, and help package literature to send overseas. There are two ways you can help!
1) Clean out your bookshelf and closets to look for and donate items like: Bibles, tracts, reference books, Christian books, magazines, music, DVDs, tapes, Sunday school supplies, and puppets. Check out their website for more information: www.lovepackages.org/needs. Place your donations at the missions collection table in the hallway by June 26.
2) Sign up by June 23 at the kiosk near the Welcome Center, or email Jen Bensinger at jenbensinger@hotmail.com. We'll carpool and leave GCC at 8 a.m. and return around 4 p.m. Bring a lunch and drink. Families and children are welcome!
